Services - Software Updates

Overview

Since your ClarkConnect system is connected to a network, it is especially important to keep up with the latest bug and security updates. You can install the latest updates from the web-based administration tool (see details below) and you can view more information about software updates on the web site.

Requirements

• None - software updates are built-in to the system.

Configuration

There are two categories of software updates: critical and recommended.

• Critical -- security updates and important bug fixes
• Recommended -- feature enhancements and non-essential bug fixes

You can access software updates for these two categories in the web-based administration tool -- in the menu, go to:

• Services > Software Install > Critical Updates
• Services > Software Install > Recommended Updates

Automatic Updates

By default, ClarkConnect systems are configured to install software updates automatically. If you prefer installing updates manually, you can disable the automatic feature via the web-based interface.

Advanced Options

If you are familiar with the command line environment, you can also perform an upgrade using the following:

• apt-get update
• apt-get upgrade
