DNS - Mail Records - MX Records

Overview

The Mail eXchanger record (MX record) tells mail systems how to handle mail that is addressed to a particular domain. In other words, if you use your domain for e-mail, you need to configure an MX record. Please review the DNS Primer for more help on DNS records.

Activation

  • Login to your account
  • Click on DNS in the top navigation bar
  • Click on Mail/MX Records in the menu

Configuration

To add MX records for your target mail domain:

  • Select the mail domain from the drop-down list
  • Select a priority level for the target mail server
  • Specify the target mail server name
